A grieving Hudson Valley family has some harsh words for a national retailer over its new promotion.
Michael Zall, whose son died of a heroin overdose, joined state Sen. David Carlucci Thursday to condemn the salon "Hairroin," which opened in an Urban Outfitters store in Manhattan.
Zall says the salon's name and promotional pens shaped like hypodermic needles send the wrong message during a heroin epidemic. He says they are trivializing what happened to his son.
A spokesperson for Urban Outfitters tells News 12 they have asked "Hairroin" to immediately stop distributing the promotional pens in their store.
