Major bottleneck greets Thruway drivers
Authorities say major delays on the New York State Thruway Wednesday were caused by overnight roadwork that wasn't completed in time for the morning rush.
Traffic through Rockland County was backed up for six miles and lanes were shut down, authorities say. The state Thruway Authority says new concrete was poured near Exit 14A in Spring Valley, but it took longer than expected to dry.
All northbound lanes on the Thruway have been reopened and traffic is moving smoothly.
