A Mamaroneck couple who were deciding to build a new home on their property were left to figure out what to do with their old house - so instead, they decided to just pick it up and move it.
The homeowners began the process of moving their house down the street to a new location on Monday.
The move is a first of a kind in the town, with many neighbors excited for the unusual spectacle.
With the help of SJ Hauck Construction, the home will be cut into nine sections and moved one piece at a time.
The goal is to have everything moved by the end of this week.
