The Village of Mamaroneck Police Department is on track to receive accreditation from the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services.
To attain accreditation, agencies must meet established standards in administration, training, and operations.
This recognition signifies that an agency operates in a professional manner, meeting, or surpassing expectations.
The DCJS Accreditation Council will formally acknowledge the Mamaroneck Police Department in their meeting scheduled for December.
This move will place the department among a distinguished group of other local police departments, including New Rochelle, Scarsdale, Harrison, and Rye.
