Police say the car driven by Robert Byrnes was weaving between lanes on the Saw Mill Parkway

CROTON-ON-HUDSON - The athletic director of Manhattan College in the Bronx has been charged with DWI.

Westchester County Police say Robert Byrnes, of Croton-on-Hudson, was arrested last Thursday morning. They say his car was weaving between lanes on the northbound Saw Mill Parkway in Hastings-on-Hudson and he failed a field sobriety test.

Byrnes has been the athletic director at Manhattan College for the past 26 years.

There has been no comment from the college.
