Mass vaccination site set to open next month in Yonkers

The National Guard Armory in Yonkers will be serving Westchester as a mass vaccination site - administering 1,000 shots a day, five days a week.

The National Guard Armory in Yonkers will be serving Westchester as a mass vaccination site - administering 1,000 shots a day, five days a week.

Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins calls this a game changer - because this site is located in one of the hardest hit communities in the state.

Starting next Wednesday, eligible residents living in seven ZIP codes in Yonkers and Mount Vernon can go online and get an appointment for the shot.

According to Gov. Andrew Cuomo's office, the seven ZIP codes include: 10705, 10701, 10550, 10553, 10704, 10703 and 10552.

The site opens on March 3.
