WEST NYACK - Officials at the Rockland County Department of Health say no additional cases of measles have been reported at the Palisades Center Mall in West Nyack.

A warning was sent out last week for people who were shopping at the mall and who may have come in contact with an infected child on Sunday, Feb. 2. The infected child is expected to be OK.

Officials say they are taking any potential exposures very seriously. "We would expect to hear this week if there are more cases. However, we will continue to monitor the situation through next week," said Dr. Patricia Schnabel Ruppert, the Rockland County commissioner of health.

The RCDOH wants to reassure residents that if they have been vaccinated against measles (received the MMR vaccine), have had measles, or were born before 1957, you are not at risk of getting measles.
