NORTH SALEM - The man whose body was found inside a burning SUV Sunday night at the Purdy’s Metro-North station killed himself, according to the medical examiner. 

The Chevy Tahoe was found Sunday night in a corner of the station’s parking lot with the man's body inside. The medical examiner ruled he apparently set himself on fire.

The man's identity has not been confirmed yet, but police say he was 40 years old.
