Merchants feeling summer shopping blues

On warm days like Saturday, many people usually hit the streets for some shopping - but this year they just aren't spending as much as usual.
Store owners say the summer isn't usually a good time to begin with as many Bronx residents leave for vacations, but the recession makes it a double-whammy.
While the sidewalks along Southern Boulevard were busy Saturday, shoppers themselves admitted they've had to cut back. One woman says the recession has her picking between sugar and a new skirt. A pretty easy choice, she says.
