Middletown bowling alley gets ball rolling for renovations
The owners of Middletown Lanes are throwing $1 million into the bowling alley in a bid to boost business and update its look.
Jaime Quinn and her husband plan on replacing the old wooden lanes with synthetic lanes, adding an arcade, replacing the bar and kitchen and changing out the monitors with flat-screen ones. They are also going to change the name of the bowling alley to Quinnz Pinz.
The pair says it is just hoping they roll a strike with local residents on the new look.
They say they hope to add at least two dozen new jobs to the economy.
The new Quinnz Pinz bowling alley is expected to be done around Thanksgiving and they plan to have a grand re-opening sometime in Jan. 2011.
