Dan Perkins Subaru in Milford presented a hefty check to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Connecticut Tuesday.
The $81,000 donation will help grant wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions.
The donation is part of the Subaru of America's "Share the Love" Event, a nationwide charitable effort where the company donates $250 for every new car that is purchased or leased.
Make-A-Wish organizers say they are grateful for this significant donation.
"When they chose to work with us locally and then shared with us that they raised so much money to make wishes come true, we can't thank them enough," says Tara Navara, of Make-A-Wish Connecticut. "We rely on our community partners to make wishes come true throughout the year and the way that they just increased our ability to do so is just phenomenal."
The average cost of a wish is $10,000.
Organizers say the donation will enable the charity to help eight children in Connecticut.
