Minisink residents angry over gas compression station
Residents of the town of Minisink are angry over plans to build a gas compression station in their community.
The compression station would be part of the controversial Millenium Pipeline that extends from Canada into New York State.
Leanne Baum says she can't imagine staying in her Westtown home if a natural gas compression station is built in a field across the street.
Baum says her family would have to "try and sell, but if we can't sell we are probably going to walk away and it's a beautiful house. It's only 5 years old."
Millenium Pipeline has filed an application with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to build a compressor station on the land along Jacob Road to increase the capacity of its natural gas pipeline.
