RYE - A dog from Rye, who went missing last week, is now back home safe and sound.

"Kooper," an 11-month-old golden retriever, ran away from home last week when he got spooked by a fireworks show at nearby Westchester Country Club.

A neighbor heard the puppy barking in the woods in Harrison off the Hutchinson River Parkway and notified the police.

Four other dogs also ran away that night, but Kooper was the only one that went missing for days.
