(10/07/10) MOUNT VERNON - The body of Gizela Andrade, 32, was found near the Mount Vernon-Bronx border at around 10:30 Tuesday night after being missing for 10 days.
The 32-year-old was last seen Sept. 25 leaving her Oakley Place home after a fight with her boyfriend. Relatives said Andrade was four months pregnant and had type 1 diabetes.
A Mount Vernon detective investigating a different case came across Andrade's SUV at the Bronx narcotics headquarters.
Authorities say that many people may have walked by the vehicle, but because of the heavily tinted windows, it was hard to see inside.
Police say there were no signs of foul play and believe that she may have died from an insulin overdose, but are waiting for the results of an autopsy.
