The mother of a 4-year-old Newburgh boy who went missing about three weeks ago is holding out hope that he can still be found.

Christina Bookal says she prays daily for the return of her son, Marc Anthony Bookal. The child's family continues to put up his picture even though police say they wrapped up their daily ground search last week.

The 4-year-old boy disappeared while in the care of his mother's boyfriend, Cory Byrd, at their Benkard Avenue home. Byrd has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child and a violation of parole.
