Monmouth County Clerk Christine Hanlon discussed changes this morning that are happening concerning upcoming elections, while Sheriff Shaun Golden focused on the new drop off location for much needed supplies after he says several companies reached out to the county to help out.

"Home Depot, they already dumped off some and 95 masks for us,” says Sheriff Golden. “I believe Lowes is doing the same for us to the sheriff’s office, which will make their way into their first responders hands. Retro Fitness is another one, had a call from the franchisee who said we have antiseptic wipes from the gym shortly you can have them."

Thompson Park on Newman Springs Road in Lincroft is now the designated drop off location.
Meanwhile, Hanlon addressed the upcoming municipal election on May 12 in four towns -- Allenhurst, Deal, Keansburg and Loch Arbour.

"Over 7,000 voters in those towns, both active and inactive voters, will be receiving a mail in ballot for the May 12 election,” says Hanlon. “There will not be any polling locations open whatsoever on May 12."

Monmouth County Freeholder Director Thomas Arnone reminded all county residents that the number of residents testing positive will continue to rise as more people are now being tested daily.

"Take today for an example,” says Arnone. “I think we're seeing our first batch of PNC tests coming back, so we anticipate the numbers going up."
The county is also looking for help from nurses who are willing to volunteer their time.
