More than a million Americans have already cast their ballots in the presidential election.       

About 800,000 of the ballots come from eight of the most competitive states.

So far, registered Democrats have requested about 6.5 million ballots.

That's compared to the more than 3.8 million ballot requests from registered Republicans in the 11 states releasing party data.

Recent polls shows President Donald Trump’s supporters strongly preferring to vote in person on Election Day.
