PELHAM - The mother of a Pelham man missing in Mexico for nearly four months has just returned home from a trip to that country, and says she still has hope her son is still alive.

Ann Devert has been working with both Mexican and U.S. authorities and doing some detective work of her own, checking out leads she's received via email. One of them was from a local hotel owner in an area where her son, 32-year-old Harry Devert, was last seen.

For five weeks, Devert traveled through tiny towns outside of Zihuatenejo, what was supposed to be her son's final destination. She handed out fliers at local hospitals, jails, bus stations, street vendors, and spoke to people.

Devert says while she was in Mexico she gave a DNA sample to federal authorities to compare to every unidentified person in the country's national database.
