Mount Vernon man sentenced for killing Bronx woman with a car

Investigators say Robert Johnson was driving over 90 mph when he hit Carina Lopez, who had just parked her car. They say Johnson was high on cocaine at the time.

A Mount Vernon man could spend up to 10 years in prison for killing a Bronx woman with a car back in January.
Investigators say Robert Johnson was driving over 90 mph when he hit Carina Lopez, who had just parked her car. They say Johnson was high on cocaine at the time.
Johnson kept going, driving in the opposite lanes and slamming into 13 parked cars along Bronx River Avenue.
Lopez died at the hospital.
Johnson pleaded guilty to manslaughter and driving while intoxicated.
