The search is on for a gunman who took the life of a Mount Vernon man.

Police say Curtis Liburd, 27, was shot Saturday afternoon on East Fourth Street in front of his mother?s apartment. Authorities say he died in her arms. Liburd?s mother says her last words to her son were that she would see him again.
