A Putnam-based Metro-North employee is accused of taking part in the insurgence on the Capitol.
MTA officials confirm Will Pepe, a seven-year employee of the transit company, used a sick day Wednesday and was allegedly caught in Washington.
Capitol Police captured Pepe’s photo and have been circulating it as part of its ongoing investigation.
Pepe, who works in Brewster, has been suspended without pay and now faces a company trial for both storming the Capitol, as well as misusing sick time off.
An MTA Senior Advisor says in a statement: “This alleged conduct goes against the values of Metro-North, New York and the nation.”
