Murder-for-hire suspect John Murray found guilty

A man charged in a murder-for-hire plot of a Peekskill cab driver has been convicted by a jury.

John Murray, 62, of Newburgh, has been found guilty of murdering Terry Camper in 2012.

Prosecutors say Murray, who had only been out of prison for less than a year, was involved in a love triangle with Camper's wife, Beatrice.

She admitted the two concocted a scheme to kill Camper and collect a $100,000 insurance policy that she took out on her husband.

Murray will be sentenced on June 10. Beatrice Camper will be sentenced at a later date.
