The trial for the man accused of murdering a popular Rockland gym teacher will start next month.
After more than a year of debating the mental status of suspect Eric Lau, his lawyer has decided to accept the psych evaluation that his client is fit to stand trial.
Lau, of Valley Cottage, is accused of beating and stabbing his neighbor, Jamie Erlich, in her apartment back in 2009.
His trial begins in September.
