National Guard troops return home
After more than a year of fighting in Afghanistan, the 2nd Battalion, 108th Infantry of the New York State National Guard returned home Thursday.
?It was stressful?I couldn?t wait for him to get home,? says worried wife Lillian Chin. ?I just thank God he?s back today.?
Her husband was happy to be home but ready for future tours.
?It wasn?t so bad of a tour?I had fun doing it,? says Spc. Christopher Chin. ?I hope I get a chance to do it again sometime.?
Officials say about 200 members of the unit returned home and received a warm welcome at their home armories upstate.
