People living on Cypress Lane in Somers say they have been complaining for years about the mountains of garbage that have grown on the lawn of one of their neighbors that they claim is creating an unsafe environment and drastically affecting property values.
Angela Buckley lives next door to Julie Udvarty and says that Udvarty's lawn isn't just an eyesore, but a health hazard as well. "It has gradually been building up, but it's the worst it's ever been," Buckley says.
When News 12 tried to get Udvarty's side of the story, she exclaimed "that's an invasion of privacy" and refused to comment further.
The Somers town supervisor says that three violations were issued to Udvarty in August, and that the town has been trying to work with her on the cleanup since then. With little to no improvement since the summer, a court date has now been set for next month.
