New officers gear up to serve, protect Hudson Valley
Close to 20 men and women officially joined the force Friday after graduating from the Orange County Police Academy.
The ceremony that was held at Anthony's Pier 9 in New Windsor was the start of a new stage in the recruits? lives.
After graduation, the officers were assigned to agencies throughout the Hudson Valley, including State Police, the Sheriff's Office and several local police departments.
?This day means that we've reached our achievement,? says Patricia Doremus, of the Middletown Police Department. ?We came together and we did it as a team.?
