Laila Mach, 15, of New Paltz, says she will never forget the opportunity, the advice the judges gave her, and Lionel Richie commenting on her fashion sense.
"I'm just excited for everyone that ever doubted me to just kind of be like, 'Oh wait a second. Maybe we were wrong.'"
Mach's audition will premiere Sunday at 8 p.m. on ABC.
