A man who portrays a steroid dealer in the Oscar-nominated film "The Wrestler" was charged Thursday with distributing illegal substances and assaulting a police officer.
Police say New Rochelle resident Scott Siegel led them on a brief chase in Eastchester Wednesday evening and rammed several police cars in an effort to flee authorities.
Shots were fired at Siegel as he attempted to escape, and he was later arrested while trying to flee on foot, authorities say.
"A car chase and shots being fired, that doesn't sound like the Westchester that I've known for most of my life,? says Brian Whalen, of White Plains. ?It sounds more like a movie."
Siegel was set to fly to Los Angeles Friday to attend the Academy Awards ceremony over the weekend. The judge, however, refused to release Siegel on bail.
