A man came home to find a robber inside his house on Mount Tom Road.

NEW ROCHELLE - A man came home last night to find his New Rochelle house being robbed.

Police in New Rochelle are searching for a thief who allegedly broke into a house on Mount Tom Road around 10 p.m. yesterday.

Witnesses tell News 12 the homeowner came home to find a stranger inside. Once the robber was caught in the act, he immediately ran out to an awaiting getaway car. The homeowner realized later jewelry was missing.

There are no injuries to report.
