Flames damage three units on Vail Gates Heights Drive in New Windsor.

NEW WINDSOR - Three families are homeless this morning after a townhouse fire in New Windsor.

Fire officials say the flames broke out Saturday afternoon on the back porch of #41 Vails Gate Heights Drive. Six adults were displaced after the flames ripped through three different units.

No one was hurt, but two pet dogs died in the fire.

New Windsor fire officials provided two of the families with food and clothing. The third family declined assistance.
