YONKERS - Despite the warm weather, a swift-moving three-alarm fire destroyed an abandoned historic building in Yonkers.

The fire broke out just off Odell Avenue, near the intersection at Warburton Avenue.

Crews were called to the scene around 1 a.m. to find the building already engulfed in flames, and sparking several nearby brush fires.

It took 65 Yonkers firefighters about two hours to get the blaze under control.

Police believe that the fire may have been intentionally set.

Arson investigators plan to comb through the piles of debris for clues.

Two firefighters who helped battle the flames suffered minor injuries.
