SPRING VALLEY - A memorial service was held outside Spring Valley Village Hall Monday to remember the victims of the Sept. 11 terror attacks.

Around 100 people gathered to honor those who died 15 years ago.

"The urgency kind of fades as time goes by, but when you see what was transpiring this weekend, it brings it back to light," says Spring Valley Police Chief Paul Modica.

Modica says that there is an extra poignancy when it comes to police and firefighters because of their choice to put others ahead of themselves.
