STONY POINT - The Hudson Valley spokesperson for Sen. Chuck Schumer has been arrested on drug charges.

Police say Cody Peluso, 32, of Carmel, had about 200 anabolic steroids on him when they pulled over his car in Stony Point on Monday.

Police tell News 12, Peluso was stopped after a scan showed that the vehicle's registration was expired. Peluso’s driver's license had also been revoked due to prior violations.

Peluso has been placed on leave from his $62,000 a year job with Schumer.
