Archbishop Dolan visits Maryknoll Sisters in Ossining

OSSINING - Archbishop Timothy Dolan made his first stop in Westchester since the announcement he would be elevated to cardinal

The New York-based archbishop received his elevation this week from Pope Benedict XVI.

The archbishop is one of just 22 clergy worldwide being elevated to the rank of cardinal.

The gathering at the Centennial Mass at Maryknoll Sisters in Ossining drew hundreds of worshippers for the Sisters' 100-year anniversary, but they also came to see and hear the archbishop.

News 12 reported that even though Dolan was struggling through laryngitis, he still managed to inspire the hundreds gathered.
