CORNWALL-ON-HUDSON - The victim of a stabbing in Cornwall-on-Hudson described the attack Thursday from his hospital bed.

Tom Metcalf, 21, recalled how he was stabbed nearly two dozen times during a dispute with a friend on Idlewild Avenue. Police say Jonathan Rizzo, 20, stabbed Metcalf with a pocket knife. They say Metcalf was able to walk to a nearby residence for help and was taken to St. Luke's Hospital.

Metcalf says Rizzo punched him in the face, making him fall to the ground. He says once he hit the ground, Rizzo began stabbing him.

Police say Rizzo turned himself in. He is now charged with first-degree assault and was sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail. He is scheduled to be back in court on April 12.
