MIDDLETOWN - Authorities have given the “all clear” after a bomb threat forced the evacuation of SUNY Orange campuses in Middletown and Newburgh Thursday afternoon.

A spokesperson for SUNY confirms they received a bomb threat at the Middletown campus around noon.  

Campus security immediately sent out a text message advising everyone on the campus to evacuate immediately after a bomb threat was found on the voicemail of a school employee. 

The SUNY Orange Newburgh campus was also evacuated as a precaution.

Police and the bomb squads were on-site searching the campuses. No injuries were reported. 

Events were canceled for Thursday evening, and classes are scheduled to resume on Friday.
