Officials say a contractor hit a pipe in Sloatsburg around 4:30 a.m. (11/18/16)

SLOATSBURG - A boil water advisory is in place for some homes in Sloatsburg after a water main break early Friday morning.

Officials say a contractor paving the street damaged an 8-inch diameter main in Sloatsburg around 4:30 a.m.

Route 17 was closed between Eagle Valley and Seven Lakes as crews repaired the break.

It was not immediately clear when the advisory would be lifted.
