Citizens take down robber in Yonkers

YONKERS - A group of neighbors is being hailed as heroes this morning after catching a person who allegedly robbed a liquor store in Yonkers.

Police received a call around 4:20 p.m. Sunday that there was a robbery at the LM Liquor Store located on Kimball Avenue. Before officers arrived on the scene, they received another call that the suspect was stopped and being held just down the road on Kimball Avenue by some civilians.

Witnesses tell News 12 say once police got there, they took the suspect into custody

There is no word right now if the suspect had a weapon or what charges he is facing.
