NEWBURGH - A special clothing exhibit is raising awareness about domestic violence in Orange County.

Survivors and family members of victims have created handmade shirts that are now on display at Safe Homes of Orange County on Broadway in Newburgh.

The display starts Domestic Violence Awareness Month and highlights the often silent abuses of domestic violence in society. "The clothesline is really a silent activity so that you can walk the line and experience in your own time messages from victims and survivors and families of those taken," says Kellyanne Kosty-Larrier of Safe Homes of Orange County.

The exhibit will move to Middletown and Port Jervis later this month.
