Congers teen injured as car crashes through his bedroom

CONGERS - Officials say a teen boy in Congers is lucky to be alive after a car crashed through his bedroom tonight.

The incident happened shortly after 5 p.m. on Ridge Road.

Police tell News 12 that the car was seen swerving before driving through the house. They say a medical condition is believed to have caused the accident.

Officials say the 13-year-old boy is being treated for minor injuries at Nyack Hospital. They say the driver, whose identity has not yet been released, was also hospitalized.

The crash is under investigation.
