NEW CITY - A Rockland County corrections officer is facing charges after police say he traded heroin for sex.

Police say Randolfo Ventillo, 49, of New City, gave the drugs to prostitutes.

In one case, investigators say one of the women overdosed in Ventillo’s car and that Ventillo did nothing to help, failing to call 911 to request emergency medical help. They say a witness eventually called for assistance, and the woman was revived at the hospital.

Ventillo has been suspended without pay from his job. He is facing numerous charges, including criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree and criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree. He has been remanded
