CORNWALL - An Orange County family says bullying at their daughter's school has taken a dangerous turn.

Vania Czumak says she doesn't know where to turn or what to do because her daughter, Alaura, is being brutally bullied by a group of girls in school.

The family says the bullies even told the 12-year-old they were going to bring a knife to school.

The Czumaks say the bullying started at Cornwall Middle School two years ago when she was in fifth grade, and has only gotten worse.

They say they've contacted school officials repeatedly for help, but nothing has been done.

Cornwall School Superintendent Neil Miller said over the phone to News 12 that Monday was the first he's heard of the alleged incidents.

He says the district has zero tolerance guidelines for bullying.

Miller says the school will look into Czumak's claims right away so that the seventh-grader can hopefully worry less and get back to being a kid.
