YONKERS - DPW crews prepared for snow again Friday, with another weekend dusting expected in the Hudson Valley.

At the DPW yard on Nepperhan Avenue in Yonkers, plows and trucks were parked -- but ready to roll out.

But at the nearby Stew Leonard's grocery store, residents said they were out shopping for their usual groceries.

"Snow? What snow?" asked Danielle Bonsignore. "I don't even want to hear it. It's not gonna happen. I don't think its gonna happen. That's my prediction."

Others, like Jean Colyar, were more cautious, buying ice scrapers and extra food supplies in case the storm comes in stronger than expected.

"I think it's terrible," she said of the snow. "Especially since Monday is the first day of spring."

Yonkers DPW officials say they have about 3,500 tons of salt stored, which is enough for two or three more snowstorms.
