E. Ramapo parents, students rally against school board

EAST RAMAPO - Dozens of parents and students rallied tonight outside East Ramapo school board headquarters to demand changes be made in the district right away.

Some of the parents recently filed a federal lawsuit against nine current and former school board members, saying they acted against the best interest of the district and the students. They are also calling for some board members to be removed immediately, over questionable decisions they made. Parents say they would also like to see programs and activities slashed in the recent budget be reinstated.

Parents say they want the state to step in and oversee the school board. Until something changes, they say they will continue to fight.
