Family hospitalized after minivan crashes into construction site

SPRING VALLEY - A mother and her four children are hospitalized after a car accident caused her mini-van to end up in a Rockland County construction site.

Police say the vehicle struck another on Route 59 by South Cole Avenue in Spring Valley around 6 p.m. Tuesday.

They say the van then went through a fence and down a 20-foot embankment. The van then hit some steel bars at the bottom of the work area.

Luckily, none of the injuries are serious.
