NYACK - The Hudson Valley could experience its first official heat wave of the summer today.

News 12 Meteorologist Nick Battista says temperatures could reach 90 degrees for the third day in a row making it an official heat wave.

Battista says it will be hot and humid, and there is a good chance for thunderstorms after 3 p.m. He say the storms could bring heavy downpours and cause flash flooding and ponding on roadways.

A cold front is expect push into the region on Saturday, lowering temperatures and humidity through the middle of next week.
