WESLEY HILLS - A Wesley Hills couple and their two adult children were forced to flee a fire in their home early Wednesday morning.

Fire officials say flames broke out around 4:30 a.m. on the second floor of a home on Wesley Chapel Road. They say the home belongs to Barry and Rachel Taub.

Barry Taub did not want to talk on camera, but he told News 12 that the fire apparently started in his daughter's bedroom.

He and his wife tried to put the fire out but were not successful.

Barry Taub said he suffered second-degree burns to his feet, and Rachel Taub suffered from smoke inhalation in addition to some minor burns to her face.

Rachel Taub is hospitalized at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern but is expected to be OK.

The fire is still under investigation, but it is believed to be accidental.
