NYACK - A Food Network crew has been filming the remodeling process of a Nyack diner this week.

The finished product of the revamped Johnnycakes restaurant on Main Street will be a complete surprise for owner Brian Moran and his family, who have been on vacation.

"They're going to be ecstatic,” said family friend Scott Nappi. “This is much deserving for them and this will be a great surprise for them."

The surprise will be revealed to thousands of TV viewers when the new show "American Diner Revival" airs.

The show will be hosted by Ty Penninington, who is known from “Extreme Makeover Home Edition.”
