Gov. Cuomo declares state of emergency
Gov. Andrew Cuomo has declared a state of emergency in New York State due to the weather.
A winter storm hit the state early this morning, which started out as snow and has turned into sleet and rain in some areas.
Because of dangerous driving conditions, Cuomo had closed the 65-mile stretch of Interstate 84 in New York State due to the severe weather. The interstate has been reopened.
