WOODBURY - Gusty winds knocked down trees and power lines across the Hudson Valley on Sunday.

Wires came crashing down, causing sparks on Dunderberg Road in Woodbury around 9:30 p.m. The outage left multiple homes without power. Winds also knocked down numerous branches and trees in Yorktown.

Power is now back on to all but a handful of customers across the region.

News 12 Meteorologist Brysen Van Eck says it will stay windy today with gusts over 20 mph. He expects the winds to die down by this evening.
